Hyaluronic acid lip augmentation at Forever Young Spa. Conservative approach, reversible product. 262 Beacon Street, Suite 3.
Lip filler at Forever Young Spa uses hyaluronic acid — a naturally occurring substance in the body — to add volume, definition, and shape to the lips. Our approach is conservative: we prioritize proportion and balance over volume. Every product we use is reversible. Consultation is complimentary.
The full appointment — consultation, numbing, and injection — takes approximately 45 to 60 minutes for a first visit.
Your injector reviews your lip anatomy, proportions, and goals before recommending a product and volume. First-time clients are assessed conservatively — half a syringe is often the right starting point.
A numbing cream is applied and left on for 20 minutes. Most hyaluronic acid filler products also contain lidocaine, which numbs the tissue during injection.
Product is placed using fine needles or a blunt cannula, depending on technique and anatomy. The injection itself takes 10 to 15 minutes.
Swelling and minor bruising are normal for 48 to 72 hours. Final results are visible at 2 weeks when swelling fully resolves. Do not judge lip filler results in the first 48 hours.
The most common concern about lip filler is looking overdone. At Forever Young Spa, the philosophy is the same as the rest of our injectable menu: less is more, and results should be a better version of you.
A conservative first session lets you see how your anatomy responds and builds toward your ideal result incrementally. You can always add at a follow-up — you cannot take away without dissolving.
Product is placed to complement your natural lip shape, not to impose a uniform look. Upper and lower lip ratio, border definition, and cupid's bow preservation are assessed before any injection.
We use only hyaluronic acid fillers — Juvederm, Restylane — which are reversible. No permanent or semi-permanent products. If you are unhappy with results, dissolution is straightforward.
Hyaluronic acid lip filler typically lasts 6 to 9 months. Lips metabolize filler faster than other areas because of constant movement. Some filler products (Juvederm Volbella, Restylane Kysse) are formulated specifically for lips and tend to last on the longer end of that range. Results vary by individual metabolism and the amount injected. Maintenance injections keep results consistent.
Most clients describe lip filler as mildly uncomfortable rather than painful. A topical numbing cream is applied before the procedure and left on for 20 minutes. Most hyaluronic acid fillers contain lidocaine, which further numbs the area during injection. The injection itself takes 10 to 15 minutes. Post-procedure sensitivity and swelling typically resolve within 48 to 72 hours.
Lip filler in Boston typically costs $600 to $900 per syringe. Most first-time clients start with half a syringe ($350 to $450) for subtle enhancement before committing to a full syringe. At Forever Young Spa, members receive 15% off all injectable treatments. The consultation is complimentary — your injector will recommend the appropriate amount based on your lip anatomy and goals.
Natural results depend primarily on the injector's technique and your stated goals. At Forever Young Spa, our approach is conservative — we prioritize shape, proportion, and balance over volume. The goal is lips that look like yours, improved: better-defined borders, restored volume, corrected asymmetry. We recommend starting with less than you think you want — you can always add more at a follow-up; you cannot subtract without dissolving.
Yes. Hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved with hyaluronidase, an enzyme that breaks down the hyaluronic acid. Dissolution takes effect within 24 to 48 hours. This makes hyaluronic acid filler a much lower-commitment option than permanent lip augmentation procedures. At Forever Young Spa, we use only hyaluronic acid products — no permanent fillers.
Lip filler adds volume, definition, and shape to the lips. Botox in the lip area (lip flip) subtly relaxes the orbicularis oris muscle to show more of the upper lip without adding volume. A lip flip is appropriate for clients who want a subtle effect or who want to complement filler with an enhanced pout effect. The two treatments are often combined.
